Two Rail OCR Portals at Container Center Budapest

Container Center Budapest and Camco Technologies sign Rail OCR agreement

Camco was awarded the Rail Gate Scanning and Data Identification project at Budapest’s Trimodal Terminal, operated by MAHART Container Center Ltd., a leading provider of container terminal services. This Rail solution will consist of two rail camera portals, used for automated identification and inventory of railcars and containers.

As the number of containers shipped via rail continues to grow on the East West Corridor, so does the need for automated inspection, identification and inventory of rail containers. Camco’s Rail OCR Portal provides a solution for remote visual inspection and automatic identification of containers and railcars. It comes with a Train Gate Operator application for further processing and exception handling.
The project is funded by the Interreg Central Europe Program, encouraging cooperation on multimodal freight transport in central Europe.
