Working at height is an essential part of installing and maintaining BoxCatcher systems in container terminals. Ensuring safe and reliable access to the work area is therefore a key requirement for our installation teams.
To support these operations, dedicated access cages have been introduced that are specifically suited to the way BoxCatcher systems are installed and maintained in the field.
The cages are suspended from a crane spreader and equipped with extendable platforms. These platforms were developed together with a supplier, based on practical experience from installation projects. They allow teams to carry out welding and rail installation work in a stable and controlled manner.
Designed for global deployment, the cages can be transported as a standard container and quickly mobilised wherever needed.
Two units are currently in operation and already supporting installations at multiple terminals.
In 2026, the cages will support the installation of more than 100 new BoxCatcher systems across terminals worldwide.
This development reflects a practical approach to improving safety and efficiency in day-to-day installation work.
